Don’t Shut Up.

(*This is the Instagram version, not the original journal version. See handwritten for the original version.)

“I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.” Psalm 118:17

David refused to quit. He made up his mind that he would not “die,” and that his enemies would not “finish him off.” But David didn’t simply refuse to quit. David declared: “I REFUSE TO QUIT, and I REFUSE TO BE QUIET!” The enemy’s ultimate goal is to kill us. He wants us to quit. But, if he cannot get us to quit, he will work very hard to keep us quiet.

Satan knows the power of
Our prayers & praise
Our bold declarations
Our testimony
Our witness
Our kind words & encouragement, and he will do all in his power to silence them. Satan will use HIS WORDS in an attempt to counteract God's Word and our words.

Satan is “a liar, “the father of all lies,” “the accuser,” and “a roaring lion.” Nearly all of his tactics involved voice and sound. He will attempt to silence our words through
Doubt
Condemnation
Fear
Inadequacy
Regret
Grief
Guilt
Condemnation
Self-pity
Discouragement
Accusations and more.

It is a war of words. We must open our mouths to defeat our enemy. Revelation 12:11 says that Satan is “the accuser of the brethren,“ and that “he accused them before our God day and night.“ Always indicting....pressing charges....assigning blame and shame...always bringing allegations.
Day and night.
Always.
But the text goes on: “They overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY.“ Jesus’ part in silencing the Accuser’s words is accomplished: He shed His perfect blood. Our part in the Accuser’s defeat is our words.

Confess Jesus’ blood.
Confess His goodness.
Confess His righteousness.
We must refuse to be quiet.
Refuse to be silent.
Refuse to stop praying, praising, and worshipping.
Refuse to stop witnessing and teaching.
Refuse to keep our testimony quiet.
Refuse to stop encouraging.
We must make up our minds that our prayers will be heard in Heaven and our prayers will be heard in hell. Our voice must be a known quantity. Our victory will require our VOICE.

Like David, we must say, “I REFUSE TO QUIT & I REFUSE TO BE QUIET.” “I shall not die, but live, and DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD.”

“Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him…” Psalm 37:7
